Avram, I cherished our friendship and sick sense of humor. You were a trusted, loyal, and loving man. I love you and wish I could have helped you get through our common human pain. I will never forget your generosity. Please have Erick and yourself watch over us.

I grew up in Charleston with Avram and while we didn't attend the same schools, we did spend a lot of time together in the summers at the JCC camps. I was very shocked and saddened to hear of his untimely passing.
May his memory serve only as a blessing and may you know for no more such sorrow.

Dearest Avram and family,
You have been in my thoughts and prayers so much as I think about the loss of your beloved son. I had only met Avram Jr. recently, yet his gentle, caring, soul was so evident. My prayer is that you may continually feel Avram's spirit around you. May God bless you and Avram's other loved ones always.
Love to you,
Barb Condit Vick

I was deeply saddened to hear about Avi, who I have known since the age of eight, having grown up around the corner. I have known him through childhood Japanese plum fights, running around the neighborhood with my brother Timothy, babysitting Edward, and, most significantly, later in college, when I discovered the full extent of Avram's sweetness and great heart. We had so many wonderful, heart-to-heart talks, as children of Charleston trying to find our way in the world. My thoughts and prayers are with Avi and his family.

I had the good fortune to meet Avram in Charleston while I was working on a construction project downtown. Being from out of town, Avram was largely responsible for how I met many other people in Charleston thereafter. A standing testimony to how much Avram cared for so many others. We shared some truly fun times together for a while; resturants, beach walks, surfing, pool halls, and of course meetings. He's in God's hands now and will be truly missed. He'll remain in my heart as life goes on. My deepest sympathies, thoughts and prayers, are with Avram and his family. Peace.
