Avis Maria Washington CHARLESTON - Elder Avis Maria Washington, 60, of Charleston, SC, entered into eternal rest Saturday, March 26, 2022. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held Saturday, April 2, 2022, at 10:00 am, in The Life Center Cathedral, 7190 Cross County Road, North Charleston, SC 29418. She will be laid to rest in Pine Hill Cemetery, Lincolnville, SC. A public viewing will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the mortuary. She is survived by her loving children: Ashley Hale, Ervin Hale (Janae), Stephanie Hale, and George Washington; grandchildren: Enoch Hale, Dontae Hale, Jayden Hale, Julieus Hale, Jaliaiya Hale, Olivia Desaussure, Dalilah Hale, and Jasiah Hale; father: Richard E. Smith (Geraldine); siblings: Lauren Fludd (James), Joy Shokes (Joe), Joyce Joyner, Deloris Myers, and Suzette Jeffcoat (Matthew); along with a host of other loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Ann Smith; siblings: Elizabeth Wright, Vera Brown (Paul), Althiea Guest, and Russel Wright.
