Aura Townsend Greenwood GOOSE CREEK - Aura Lillian Townsend Greenwood, 81, of Goose Creek, SC, the widow of YN1 Charles R. Bennett (USN), entered into eternal rest Thursday, March 28, 2024. Her Funeral Service will be held Monday, April 1, 2024 in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow Carolina Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Lil was born September 18, 1942 in Ancon Canal Zone, Panama, daughter of the late John B. Townsend and the late Aura Cedeno Townsend. She was a member of Harbour Lake Baptist Church and the Red Hat Ladies. She was also a proud member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority. Lil was a talented musician that loved sitting down at the piano and singing. She is survived by her four children, eight grandchildren and their families.
