Audry Cooper Obituary

Dear Derrek and Stevie,
Your mother was a beautiful soul. After almost 25 years at SHS teaching together, I missed her very much after she retired. Almost every teacher at the school had contact with Audry because of all her homebound students. She was a wonderful teacher - very dedicated and caring. I have fond memories and think of her often --- from insignificant and small things like the pencils she placed in her hair, her chicken pot pie recipe she shared with me, her love of popcorn for lunch --- to serious discussions about politics, the state of the country and the world. I know you will miss her very much. I loved her as a good friend and wonderful colleague. Please note she will be remembered by all who knew her. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

What a fitting tribute to a wonderful woman who shared her intellect and talent so generously. Audry´s presence and insight lit up our book group for over 15 years. Deepest sympathy to her loving family.

We met Al & Audrey 23 years ago when we moved to Charleston it´s a fact they were the very first & dearest friends we had for all our time in Charleston she nor never met a stranger & they welcomed us with love & open arms it was always a great pleasure to get involved in there 4th of July party every year we will Audrey & Al so much.
