Audrey Jewell Obituary

Audrey Jewell Goose Creek - Audrey L. (Barb) Jewell, 94, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, died Saturday, May 14, 2016. She was born March 16, 1922 to the late Russell Barb and Hazel (Boggs) Barb. She is preceded in death by her husband, William "Sarge" "Punk" Jewell; two sons, William L. Jewell, and Steven Jewell; grandson, James B. Marrale; brothers, Gerald, Harding, and Donald Barb; sisters, Thelma Jones and Dorthea Iser. Mrs. Jewell is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Marrale of Goose Creek, SC; daughter, Sharon McKinney (Dan) of Albuquerque, NM; daughter-in-law, Anne of McKinney, TX; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four greatgreat-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Elwanda Jackson of Sumter, SC; and brother, Ronald Barb (Roberta) of Cumberland, MD; sister-in-law, Jean Cooley of Bedford, PA and Shirley Stoner of Little Orleans, MD; brother-in-law, Darl "Ace" Jewell of Glen Allen, VA. There are also many loving nieces and nephews and their families. Mrs. Jewell was known to many as simply "Grandma". She especially enjoyed going to Hardees in Goose Creek with her favorite people, Bud and Nell. There they would have breakfast with what was known as the "Hardees Gang". She was always included in all celebrations with Bud and Nell's family; daughters, Wanda Benton (Mendel), and Annette Joiner. Mrs. Jewell enjoyed the game Solitaire on her iPad and word search puzzles. There will be a private inurnment in Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, SC at a later date. She will rest with her husband.
