AUDREY ELLIS Obituary

Audrey Anderson Ellis of Lake Barrington Ellis, Audrey Anderson (nee Goranson) left this life on Aug. 5, 2012, at 83 years of age. A longtime teacher in the Lake Forest elementary system, her pillars of strength were her nurturing of students, her love of family, her awe at our beautiful world, and her God. She was the dearly loved and loving wife of John R. "Jack" Ellis; devoted mother of Cynthia A. Peterson (Layne), Rebecca A. Banach (Stephen) and the late Daniel Stuart Anderson; cherished grandmother of Danielle Navarro (Carlos) and Donald Harrington, Taylor and Keely Banach; great-grandmother of Evie Navarro.; loving stepmother of Barbara Parsons, Sue Eyre (Ted), John Ellis (Karen) and Mary Cleary (John); and stepgrandmother of Stefanie Peterson, Caroline, Susan and Martha Parsons, Kelli and Kyle Mattson, Samantha and Natalie Eyre, Kileen, Katie and Kyle Ellis and Connor, Ryan and Julia Cleary. She also leaves many cherished nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, at the Presbyterian Church of Barrington, 6 Brinker Road, Barrington, IL 60010. Visitation with the family following the service. Please, NO flowers.
