My condolences truly go out to the Coggins family.....as u can see it has taken me awhile to sign his guestbook b/c I've had to come to terms with his passing...the earth has lost a truly lovable young man, but heaven has gained an angel. I knew Ashton fairly well, and like everyone has said his smile, and his personality just made my day. Everything that I wanted to say about him has already been said. I just wanted to pay my respects, so that he can finally rest in peace.

To The Family of Ashton Coggins:

Ashton was a good friend of mine since elementry. He also was a good teammate when we were in Track together at Oakland. I will always remember the smile he kept on his face and how he would always make me laugh. He will always be missed and loved. I will always keep him in my heart. I don't feel woeful that he is gone because I know he is in a better place. I wish I could be there to say my final goobye, but I can't because I am in North Carolina dealing with my uncle who is battling with cancer. I will always keep you in my prayers.

To My Dear Friend Ashton~

Its hard to believe that you are really gone. I will cherish our memories, like how we used to sit in class and laugh, how we used to talk on the phone, and how we used to have so much fun at track practice. Ashton I Know you are in a better place and you will always be missed and loved. I am sorry that I can't make it, but I know that you will understand.

May You Rest In Peace

Ashton you will be strongly missed, and you will remain in our hearts. Even though you are not here in person, you are here in spirt. It is a shame how cruel people can be. To take a life of a son, brother, grandson, nephew and a good friend to many was just thoughtless. You are in a better place, no more worry, trouble, or burdens.

To the Coggins Family, you will remain in our prayer.Remember, Ashton is in a better place now. All of his trouble have come to an end, so remember to not be sad but be glad. This is a joyous occassion and he has move on with his Heavenly Father above.

"And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me,Write , Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them. Rev.14:13

We had the pleasure of knowing your son since he ran track with our son TJ, way back when, when they ran at Oakland and your boy would take the lead and leave everybody behind with his awesome speed. Charlie, Arlene, Lil Charlie.... How can I even express our heartfelt condolences at this time? I, my family and especially my son, Shon, loved Ashton dearly. We will forever rejoice in having him as a part of our lives. Know that he was special and that your love for him was shown in the kind of young man he was, the kind of friend he was to Shon and especially in that smile on his face. I pray for your endurance and strength at this time and always know that "Blessed are those who mourn, they will be comforted" for "we do not want to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again and we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord's own word, we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. and after that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air." We Love You Ashton! We'll Meet You There!

Although I did not have the pleasure of knowing Ashton, I remember seeing him at ft practices. Always walking around like he had not a care in the world, smiling and cutting up with those around him. My son had some friends over when we heard, David was in awe, "I was just throwing him passes last week, I can't believe it, are you sure it was Ashton?" It's hard to hear of such a young loss and to be so sinceless!!! Know that Ashton was well liked amoung his friends and even those that really didn't know him. I have heard nothing but great things of your son. He will be sadly missed on the Ft ball field. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time!!!

To the Coggins Family: My utmost & sincerest condolences go out to you. I cannot say that I understand your pain, because no one could fathom the loss of a child. My thoughts, heart, & prayers are with you.

Dearest Ashton: Your death has took a toll on many lives. It is sad to think that we will never see your smiling face again. And knowing this is breaking my heart. You were taken from us too soon Asnton. Now all we have left are heartfelt memories of gladness & watery tears of sadness. But we will not be discouraged, for God had other plans for you. I love you and we miss you.

Ashton,

For the two years I knew you, I have to say, you were a great friend and teammate to me. You were like a mentor to me, and I looked up to you like a older brother that I never had. You were never too busy to give me a ride home and you also helped me get my first job at Chick-fil-a. I can't thank you enough for all the things you done for me. The whole football team really misses you and you will always be in our hearts when we play. RIP!!
