Ashley Mims Plunkett Fitch ADAMS RUN, SC - Ashley Mims Plunkett Fitch, 44, of Adams Run, South Carolina, wife of Clarence William "Billy" Fitch, Jr., entered into eternal rest Friday, July 28, 2023. Her Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, August 1, 2023 in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road, from 12:00 until time of the service. Ashley was born March 26, 1979 in Orangeburg, South Carolina, daughter of James N. Plunkett and Susan Earley Plunkett. She was the granddaughter of James and Salome Earley, and James and Willie Plunkett. She was a 1997 graduate of Orangeburg Prep and received a Bachelor's degree from the College of Charleston in 2002. She worked as a Regime and Association Manager with Ravenel Associates, Inc. Ashley was a lover of all animals and rarely turned down the opportunity for a rescue. She was a member of Dragon Boat Charleston's Team Paddles & Pearls, making it to a world competition in Italy. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Orangeburg, and later a member of First Baptist Church, Mt. Pleasant. In addition to her parents, Ashley is survived by her husband, Clarence William "Billy" Fitch, Jr. of Adams Run, SC; her daughter, Grace Mims Fitch of Adams Run, SC; her sister, Christy Plunkett Barese (Eric) of Burke, VA; nephew, Lukas Foertsch, also of Burke, VA; mother and father-in-love, Nancy Young Fitch and Billy Fitch of Mt. Pleasant, SC; sister-in-love, Kelley Fitch Shisko (Joseph); niece, Sallie Claire Shisko of Charleston, SC; aunt, Ann E. Hubbard of Sumter, SC; grandmother-in-love, Dolly L. Young; and very special four-legged family member, Butterbean.
