I’m a firm believer that when we lose someone close to us, they continue to live on through us & give us unbelievable strength. They’re so connected to us that they become a part of us, for the rest of our lives. "Gma Asalee" as she was affectionately known & called since the first day I met her was a phenomenal woman. She will be missed by everyone that had the opportunity to meet her. She is indeed leaving footprints. To my extended family- For the pain & heartache you’re feeling at this moment & going forward, I am praying for GOD to provide you all peace and comfort.

Auntie,
I always enjoy the conversations that you and I had when talking about how the way you and your Brothers and Sisters grew up and I always said wow that’s so amazing. Also when I came down for vacations there from Philly, you made breakfast that was so awesome and I was like wow my auntie can cook some good food!!! You will always be in my heart as a amazing mommy / auntie. Love you always. I am so happy that you and I had some awesome amazing time while you were here.
Love always your nephew Drew,
Ellen Jenkins
