Arlene Harris Obituary

Arlene M. Harris MACEDONIA, SC - Arlene Mitchum Harris, 74, of Macedonia, SC, died Saturday afternoon at her residence. Her funeral will be 11:00 AM Tuesday Morning, Jan. 17, 2012, in the Mt. Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church. Interment will follow in the Keller-Carr Cemetery, directed by DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER. The family will receive friends at the CHURCH from 6:00 until 8:00 PM this Monday evening. Mrs. Harris was born May 12, 1937, in Macedonia, SC, a daughter of Benjamin Dewitt Mitchum and Catherine Caddell Mitchum. She attended the Mt. Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church and enjoyed crocheting. Mrs. Harris was a former employee of the Jamestown Woolen Mill, and she was preceded in death by two sisters, Flaurie Grooms and Nadine Mitchum, and she was the widow of Louis D. Harris, Sr. Surviving are, four sons, Louis D. "Danny" Harris, Jr., Glen M. Harris, and Samuel T. "Sam" Harris all of Macedonia, and Benjamin A. "Ben" Harris of North Pole, AK; three sisters, Evelyn Gingher of Philadelphia, PA, Julia Cales of Adams Run, and Lenora Garton of Macedonia; a brother, Elvin D.
