Antonio was a great coach, mentor, and a terrific man. Antonio will always be remembered by me and my family as a man of character and integrity. It was an honor to work with him and I hate that so many young men are going to miss out on being mentored by such a great man. The Collins family will always remember you and appreciate the time we spent together.

Antonio was a friend and mentor to so many. I am deeply saddened, as are the thousands of people who he impacted in a positive way. As a freshman at CSU in 1999, he literally taught me the free safety position. He took me under his wing as a freshman and for that I am forever grateful. He was selfless and I will always consider him a friend. I pray for your strength and endurance through this situation and through God's grace, healing will come in time.

It made my heart smile when Antonio decided to join Coach Collins and I at Loris HS. I just knew we would all get together again somewhere along the path that football coaches follow. My condolences to the Simmons family. It was a great pleasure to grow up with Antonio. He was Great football player and an amazing person. He made everyone laugh. He will be deeply missed and I was so happy to see him and Omar last year at the 15 yr high school reunion. I can only think Omar needed him. Love to Antonio and all of his family.
