Anthony Singleton Obituary

SINGLETON, Anthony Anthony Lavon Singleton, Jr., 28, died Tuesday, October 10, 2006, at Stephenville, Texas, the result of an accident. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, October 16, at Macedonia Baptist Church in Abilene, Texas, with Rev. Robert Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Abilene directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory. Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home. A native of Cheyenne, Wyoming, he was born on December 14, 1977 and moved to Abilene from Japan ten years ago. He was a truck driver for Ben E. Keith Foods. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Abilene. Survivors include his father and stepmother, James and Ernesta Singleton of Abilene; his mother, Minnie Waring and husband, William, of Charleston, S.C.; sister, Tosha Smith and niece, Breonia Smith of Atlanta, GA; brothers, Anthony Cunningham and wife, Katie, of Cleburne, TX, and Walter Cunningham of Abilene; and sister, Angela Carrion and husband, Brent, of Abilene. He is also survived by three grandmothers, Beatrice Cosey and Joyce Fitzhugh of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Earnestine Singleton of Beaufort, SC; special friends, Victoria Singleton and Jayden of Abilene; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
