Annie Davis Obituary

Annie Mae Speissegger Davis Mt. Pleasant - Annie Mae Speissegger Davis, 92, of Mt Pleasant, SC, formerly of Summerville and North Charleston, SC, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2022. Annie was born in Summerville, SC on May 24, 1930 and always considered herself a "Summerville girl", even though she spent most of her adult life living in North Charleston. She was a wonderful wife to Loyd (Pete) Davis for 42 years and a loving mother to six children. She was a faithful and prayerful Christian and an avid reader of the Holy Bible. Her life was spent as a homemaker and she was an excellent Southern cook. She was an active participant in her family's many gatherings and activities. She enjoyed 92 years of a full and happy life. She will be dearly missed by her children and their spouses, 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, sister, Hazel Speissegger Houser, and many nieces and nephews. Annie is survived by: her children: Sharon Davis Langdale (Fred), Randall Loyd Davis (Mary), Sylvia Davis, Wanda Davis Yaden (Hank), Thomas Charles Davis (Len), and Wendy Davis Miller (Chesteen). She is predeceased by her husband, Loyd Fenton (Pete) Davis; her brothers; Henry Speissegger and Carroll W. Speissegger; her sister; Myrtle Speissegger Courtney and her parents, Charlie W. and Maggie Grooms Speissegger. A Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 10, 6-8 PM and 2-3 pm, on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at Carolina Memorial Funerals & Cremation, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC 29406. A Celebration of Life Service Sunday, September 11, 3-4 pm at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. The Interment will follow on Sunday, September 11, 4 pm at Carolina Memorial Gardens.
