Anne Lesesne Obituary

Anne Johnson Lesesne MT. PLEASANT - Anne Johnson Lesesne, 73, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away at home Sunday, April 12, 2015. Anne was born in Tulsa, OK, December 30, 1941, daughter of the late Mary Knowles and Pat Orr Johnson, and the stepdaughter of the late Rob Roy Macgregor. She was the beloved wife of Eugene F. Lesesne for 52 years. Anne graduated from Baptist College with a degree in Nursing, and worked for 22 years in several areas of nursing. She enjoyed teaching nursing assistants at Trident College the most. Anne was devoted to her Lord and her family. She spent many days in Bible studies both as a student and teacher, her favorite was the study with the neighborhood young girls that helped them grow into Christian women. Anne loved to read and many times read through the Bible in a one year program. She lived a Christ-centered life, and all who knew her found her to be a gracious, selfless person, always willing to help anyone in need. During her years at St. Philips, Anne led many Lay church activities and loved being involved with her family in the many events. Anne was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She will be missed by her children, Angela Lesesne Clark (Joey), and Jessica Lesesne Martin (Jeff), and 5 grandchildren, Larsen Clark Spinelli (Zack), Rachael Anne Martin, Kristin Lucille Clark, Corey Andrew Martin and Sarah Elizabeth Clark. She is also survived by her sisters, Mary Moody (Gardner), Elizabeth (Betsy) Johnson, and Patricia Perry (Rick), who will miss her daily phone chats and Bible studies. Anne also loved her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Water Missions International or St Philips Church, Charleston, SC. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff with Beacon Hospice, especially Portia Bradford. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, April 18th, 11:00 AM at St Philips Church, 142 Church Street, Charleston, SC. Burial will be private. Aunt Anne was there at my beginning, and it was very special to see her just before her birthday. She was always available when we lived near. Thank you for your love. My favorite memory was driving you through the Rocky Mountain National Park! Those times are very special! Love you Uncle Gene, all of you are in our prayers!
