Annabelle Ancrum Riley CHARLESTON - Annabelle Ancrum Riley peacefully passed away on January 6, 2024 at 6:16 pm in Charleston, South Carolina. She was born on February 13, 1937 in Charleston, South Carolina, to Anna and Daniel Ancrum, Sr. Throughout her life, Annabelle was a devoted mother who always put her children first. She was a doting grandmother and great-grandmother who loved spending time with her family and creating special memories. Annabelle was also a cherished sister and loyal friend who was always there for those in need. All who knew her will deeply miss her warm smile, infectious laughter, and compassionate nature. Annabelle will forever live in the lives and hearts of her children, Cheryl (Darrian) Gourdine of the home, her son, Ernest (Adrienne) Riley Jr, and one son-in-law, Harry Wallace. She will be deeply missed by her five grandchildren, Brian (Shwanna) Manigault, Dwayne (Rita) Mack, Donovan (Sheena) Bowman, Joshua Sams, and Mackenzie S. Riley, as well as her nine great-grandchildren. Annabelle also leaves behind her three sisters, Beatrice (Jacob) Wilson, Rosena (Nathaniel) Gladden, and Cathy Pittman, and three sisters-in-law, Dolly Ancrum, Eva L. Base, Patricia Ancrum, and special family, Duane & Dr. Latrinia Lucas. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, friends, and all who have met her. Family, friends, nieces, and nephews of Mrs. Annabelle Riley are invited to join us as we honor her life Thursday January 11, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. Her graveside service will be held in Live Oak Memorial Gardens 3093 Ashley River Road, Charleston (West Ashely), her service will be streamed. Masks and social distancing are encouraged.
