Ann Noack Obituary

ANN PHYLLIS NOACK, 95 of Wilmington, North Carolina, passed peacefully in her residence at The Artisan of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. Ann was born in Providence, Rhode Island, on November 23, 1930, a daughter of the late Arthur and Catherine Noack. She graduated from Providence College and obtained a master's degree in reading, and spent over 30 years working as a teacher in numerous schools across the country and abroad in Spain. Among her passions were traveling, playing tennis, and supporting various charitable works and organizations through the Catholic church and local non-profit groups. Ann's independent nature and spirit was coupled with immeasurable compassion for her friends and family. On more than one occasion, she willingly paused her life pursuits and relocated to care for family members, initially going to Switzerland to assist her younger sister and her four children, and later to act as the sole caregiver for her ailing mother in Rhode Island until she passed away, in the house where Ann grew up. Her life serves as a powerful testament to her unwavering faith and selfless commitment to helping others.

Ann was preceded in death by her brother, Raymond S. Noack, and her sister, Claire C. Bolger. She is survived and greatly missed by her brother, Donald P. Noack; her ten nieces and nephews: Steve Noack (Jule), Tom Noack (Ann), Ted Noack, David Bolger (Marifrances), Jackie Gleason (Steven), Jim Bolger (Mary), Dan Bolger (Lawrie), Amy Noack (Paul), Eric Noack, and Garth Noack; and several grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Please join us in celebrating her life at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 6650 Carolina Beach Road, Wilmington, North Carolina, on February 27, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Ann's name to the Alzheimer's Association – Eastern North Carolina Chapter at Eastern North Carolina Chapter | Alzheimer's Association.
