Ann was my AP European history mentor at James Island Charter High School. She raised the bar for all her students. I remember her saying to me, "Make them analyze! Her mantra benefitted many students who succeeded with high passing scores on the AP exam.
I respected her deeply as a teacher and friend. She was sharp, witty and full of life.
Ann will live on in the memories of her family, friends, and students.

Just thinking of you Phil, and all the good times at Folly back in the day. You were and still are the luckiest man in the world to have found such a treasure as Ann. She was such a special person, I've thought of both of you over the years. Know we are praying for Ann, you and the whole family. I hope to somehow see you in the future. Dear Phil and Family,
I was so sorry to hear of Ann's passing. Having not seen you all in many years could never dim how beautiful and wonderful a person Ann was, so special, warm and loving and you Phillip, always being to type of person and personality I always wanted to be.
