Andrew Russo Obituary

RUSSO, Andrew Andrew W. Russo, 44, of Hampton, Virginia, died Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at his residence. Funeral service will be held Sunday, April 26, 2009 at 4 o'clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Oakbrook Chapel, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville. Friends may visit at the Oakbrook Chapel, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville from 3 o'clock until the hour of service. Burial will follow in Dorchester Memory Gardens, Summerville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Heart Association, 409 King Street, Suite 300, Charleston, SC 29403. Mr. Russo was born August 5, 1964 in Ipswich, England, son of the Valerie Leathers Russo of Ladson and the late Louis J. Russo, Jr. He was a graduate of Lakenheath High School and Georgia State University. He had a deep passion for education. He was an amazing dad and a very loving son. He also enjoyed running; he ran 18 marathons. Andy was a very benevolent person. He enjoyed traveling and vacationing with his children. He was a member of Glory Day Lutheran Church. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served in Desert Storm. He served 18 years of military service and 25 years of federal service. He was a business consultant with the military. Surviving in addition to his mother are three daughters, Nicole Leann Russo of Macon, Georgia, Margaret Olivia Russo and Melissa Catherine Russo both of Hampton, Virginia; one son, Andrew John Russo of Macon, Georgia; granddaughter and grandson, Luke Jarrick Russo and Levi Elizabeth Russo, both of Macon, Georgia; one sister, Tammy Inger (William) of Smoaks, SC.
