Andrew Craigie Obituary

CRAIGIE, Andrew Mr. Andrew Edward "Andy" Craigie, 91, of the Presbyterian Home in Summerville, formerly of Bradford Village at Santee, died Saturday, November 25, 2006 in a Charleston hospital. The funeral will be 11 AM Tuesday in Avinger Funeral Home Chapel in Holly Hill with Rev. John Scott officiating. Burial will be 2:30 PM Tuesday afternoon in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Camden, SC. Mr. Craigie was born in Silver Springs, MD, a son of the late William K. Craigie and Ellen Edwards Craigie. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II and a retired police officer from Montgomery County, MD. He was a member of The Episcopal Church of the Ephiphany in Eutawville, and a member of the American Legion in Holly Hill. Mr. Craigie was predeceased by his first wife Hannah B. Craigie. Surviving are his wife Minnie Smith Craigie of Summerville; a daughter Patricia C. Munday of Myrtle Beach; two grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Episcopal Church of the Ephiphany, PO Box 9, Eutawville, SC, 29048.
