Amy White McClain MT., PLEASANT - Amy White McClain, 57, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Thursday, August 28, 2025. Her Funeral Service will be held Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 3:00 pm in the J. Henry Stuhr, Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road. The family will receive friends an hour before the service at the Mount Pleasant Chapel. Interment will be private. Amy was born May 30, 1968, in Atlanta, Georgia, daughter of Ann White and the late Jess White. She was educated at Salem Academy, Clemson University, Columbia College, and the University of South Carolina. She received multiple Masters degrees and dedicated her career to helping others as a Speech Pathologist. Amy will be remembered for her love of God and family. She is survived by her mother, Ann White of Newton, NC; former spouse, John McClain of Mount Pleasant, SC; children, Parish McClain, Hallie McClain, and Christian McClain of Mount Pleasant, SC; sibling, Alex White (Karen) of Greenville, SC; former mother-in-law, Patricia O'Neil of Charleston, SC; former sister-in-law, Dominique Barteet of West Palm Beach, FL; and former brother-in-law, Hal McClain (Linda) of Carrollton, MS. She was preceded in death by her father, Jess Alexander White, former father-in-law, Harold Reddit McClain, and daughter, Lofton Bay McClain. Memorials may be made to MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital, 59 Bee St., MSC 201, Charleston, SC 29425, in lieu of flowers. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel.
