Amy Korngiebel Obituary

Amy Korngiebel N. CHARLESTON - Amy C. Korngiebel, 57, of North Charleston, SC, passed away on May 18, 2023 surrounded by her family and loved ones after a short battle with cancer. Amy was born February 15,1966 to Thomas E. Clark (Susan) and the late Marsha Ann Ginn at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, VA. She is survived by her husband, David Korngiebel, her son and daughter-in-law, Duane and Alisha Korngiebel, her grandchildren, Jordan, Cayden and Brody, her sisters, Beth Brodka (Greg) and Susan Richerson (Todd) and Jade Moore. She has numerous other family members, including nieces, Becky Childers and Brittany Sager as well as nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins in South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Texas and South Dakota. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Jerry L. Ginn. She was a graduate of Stall High School and Trident Technical College. Amy was a kind and caring person who was loved by all who knew her. In her long, devoted career as a real estate paralegal she touched many lives and made so many long, lasting friendships. Amy loved spending time with her family and her pets. From jumping on the trampoline to sliding down the waterslide, there wasn't anything she wouldn't do for the "kornballs" a.k.a her grands! She was an avid music lover and enjoyed a wide variety of tunes. Amy also volunteered for many years for One 80 Place, the Palmetto House and Big Hearts of the Lowcountry. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A visitation will be held Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Carolina Memorial Park, 7113 Rivers Avenue, N Charleston at 12:00PM. A memorial service will be held at 1:00PM with a graveside interment to follow. Visit our guestbook at legacy.com/obituaries/charleston

Dear Alisha, Duane, David and family,
It is with a heavy heart that I heard of Amy's passing. May the Lord hold you all tight and close during this very difficult and sorrowful time. I shall always remember Amy for her infectious laugh, sweet smile and quick wit. I genuinely smile every time I think of her. Fly high Amy and rest in peace. You've earned your angel wings and then some. I shall miss you dearly my friend.
