I was so sorry to hear about Amber's passing. I too worked with her at Harrington 20 years ago and loved her smile, her giggle and her always pleasant attitude. We had stayed in touch until about 10 years ago when I moved out of state. My thoughts and prayers are with you. You had a wonderful mother who loved and adored you.

Amber and our daughter, Gloria, were good friends, and Amber spent a lot of time at our home when they were growing up. We thought the world of her. I know that your lives will never be the same, but I pray that you will find some consolation in knowing that she is with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. God bless in your time of sorrow and always.

Dear Mitch, Terri, Stephanie, and Virginia--Live each day as though it were your last because we don't know what tomorrow may bring. How true that statement is, and how different your life is today than it was only a week ago. I knew Amber most of her life. We went through high school together, and boy do I have some wonderful, fun-filled memories of those days. Amber stayed in Charleston and got married and had children, whereas I moved all the way to Columbia, SC and have lived here for the last 30 years. The last time I saw Amber was at Mrs. Mangum's 80th birthday party four years ago. She looked the same as she had in high school and acted just the same too. I thank God that life had not robbed her of her exuberant thirst for living and loving. She will forever live on in everyone whose lives she touched. I would very much like to meet all of you one day. Please feel free to contact me. We will see her in heaven--carry that thought with you always. With love and sympathy,

The sudden death of Amber, which I learned about on my way to Atlanta to see my sisters, made me look at the trip a lot differently. Due to the distance we lived from each other, we had not been together since our mother's death 4 1/2 years ago. Amber's death made me realize that all of the disagreements over the years don't matter. While Virgina is mourning the loss of her sister, I've been given a second chance with mine. My prayers go out to Virigina, Angela, and the rest of the family.

Stephanie, Mitch, Terri, Virginia, and the rest of the family. Words can't express how much we loved Amber. I called her my little sister for the past 5 years, and she was truly that. Recently when she was applying for the job in Georgia, I was called for a reference. I told them that Amber was the most honest person I had ever met. That she was an incredible learner, and loved service. She is the most loyal person I have had the pleasure know. It was a great joy to know her. Our prayers are with you and your family, but know beyond a doubt that Amber is with the Lord in heaven.
