Amanda Wheeler Obituary

I knew Amanda through her job at Carmen y Jaun's. I normally bring a book to read when I go out too eat and the first time I met her she asked about the book I was reading. After that when ever I went there I never read, I'd made a friend that day. Amanda always created me with a smile and talked with me through my meal. We would talk about what she was up to at school, or what my work. She beamed with joy about Remi when she got him and I shared pictures of my dog Alafair with her. We just hit it off. I was just some guy she knew at her job but she made me feel special, she was someone I am proud to say is my friend. She was just always happy, always had something nice to say. Even when things weren't great she was still bright and caring. Amanda brought something very special to the world! You're family is in my thoughts and prayers. I know words are inadequate to wrap around what's happened. I just want you to know I'm grateful to have know Amanda if only briefly. Her love of life and the way she cared for people showed just how wonderful of a family she came from.

I just found out about Amanda's death and my family sends our love and prayers to Amanda's family and friends. We only knew Amanda from being Carmen y Juan's regulars, but her big, beautiful smile and delightfully friendly personality were a real joy. She left this world a better place than it would have been had she not been here. Godspeed, Amanda.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Amanda. When I heard the news I was devastated. Even though I never met Amanda I always heard about her from David on what a wonderful sister she was and all the good things that she brought out in David. I know she will be missed dearly. RIP Amanda.

Peggy- I was so very sorry to hear of your loss....I can't imagine the emotions going on right now. It is so very difficult to lose a loved one, but we always need to trust in God and His interactions in our lives. Someday He will show you the bigger picture. It sounds like Amanda was a wonderful girl and cherished by everyone who knew her. That says a lot about you and the impact that you, as her mother, had on her. Stay close to God and depend on Him for your strength through all of this.

I always looked forward to having her and her beautiful smile every Wednesday evening at the restaurant. We talked about her car, her trips and of course her grades. She brought a smile to my face every time I saw her. She will be missed. My prayers to the family.

I am so sorry for your tremendous loss. I loved our morning talks at work about Amanda and David and through those conversations I learned what a wonderful young lady Amanda was. That will never be forgotten.

David, also through those morning conversations with your mom we talked about how fiercely loyal you and Amanda were to one another and that is a bond that can never be broken. She looked up to you and Peggy always told me how you looked out for her.

I just saw Amanda at my job this past Weds! I've known her since 7th grade and it's just so sad and mind-blowing how it can all just happen in a blink of an eye... I loved her personality and her smiles! I'd see her around Wando and tell her hi and all, but wow this is just to heavy on my chest to even write this for her Obituary of 2016. I wish the best for the family and very close friends. Im sure she's relaxing in peace; stress free. Still having that same bold smile upon her face :) RIP Amanda! I'll see you soon.

I want to start off with I am so sorry for your loss. Amanda was such a sweet and fun person. I met Amanda when she moved to Fort Wayne and in with the Pulvers and went to Blackhawk for a semester. I only had one class with her and I sat over by her one day and we connected. Even though she was at Blackhawk for a short time she was one of my best friends at that school and I couldn't thank her enough for that. Her high spirit always brightened my day and put a smile on my face. I'm gonna miss her every day, once again I'm so sorry for the loss of your amazing daughter.
