Amanda Verona Shelley "Mandy" Seel SUMMERVILLE - Amanda Verona Shelley Seel (Mandy) age 86 of Summerville departed for Heaven on Saturday January 11th 2014. She was at Hospice of Charleston. Born December 13th 1927 in Aynor South Carolina to Daniel B. Shelley and Elva Roberts Shelley she was the widow of George William Seel, Sr. She was a graduate of Aynor High School. She had been a member of Remount Baptist Church in North Charleston since 1959 and was retired from Charleston Naval Shipyard. She is survived by son, John H. Seel (Linda) of Cross; step-daughters, Mary Jenkins (Charles) of Graniteville, Becky Albrecht (Norman) of Salisbury NC; and step-sons, Harry M. Seel (Margarie) of Summerville and Frank M. Seel (Ann Marie) of New Hope; 2 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, 13 step-grandchildren and many step-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, George W. Seel, and step-son, George W. Seel, Jr.; sister, Veneta Phipps; and brothers, Henry C. Shelley, B. Clayton Shelley, half-brothers, Cole B. Roberts, D. Reese Roberts; and step-brothers, D.J. Shelley, Cecil Shelley and Robert Shelley. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. at Remount Baptist Church in North Charleston. Service will follow at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be at Carolina Memorial Gardens at 1:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Charleston. She was a compassionate and sweet spirit. Amanda was always so warm and welcoming. She raised her son to be a good man and in return, he married a good woman and had 2 of the sweetest people I know. It all started with Amanda being a wonderful person. We need more people out there like her. RIP Amanda Seel
