Alys Anne Passailaigue Dennis MT. PLEASANT - Alys Anne Passailaigue Dennis, 62, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025, surrounded by members of her loving family. Born on June 15, 1963, in Summerville, South Carolina, she was the beloved daughter of Margaret Jones Passailaigue and Ernest (Ernie) L. Passailaigue, Jr. After graduating from Wando High School, Alys Anne earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Charleston Southern University, then became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), reflecting her commitment to professional excellence. Known for her dedication to mentoring young professionals, Alys Anne served as President of the Coastal Chapter and on the Board of Directors of the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants, and was nationally recognized through her work with the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts She began her career in public accounting alongside her mother at Passailaigue & Dennis, later became a partner at Baldwin & Associates in 2013, and continued to excel after its merger with Draffin Tucker. At Draffin Tucker, she was a respected leader and mentor, bringing her extensive expertise in public accounting, litigation support, business valuation, and tax preparation. She is survived by her loving husband, Don; daughter, Hannah; grandson, Harbor; mother, Margaret; father, Ernie; sisters, Michele Passailaigue Thornal, Angel Passailaigue Holmes, and Toire Passailaigue Vince; brothers, Sonny King, Court King, and Jacques Passailaigue Alys Anne will be remembered for her professionalism, generosity, and deep devotion to her family and friends. Her legacy will live on in the countless lives she touched through her work and her love. The family would like to thank all healthcare staff, friends, or organizations who supported her and her family during her illness or passing. The family will receive friends and colleagues on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mt. Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Rd., from 11:00 am with the service beginning at 1:00 pm. A private burial will take place at a later date. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc.
