Alvaro Mascorro Obituary

Alvaro Mascorro, 56, of Chicago, Il, died Friday morning at his residence. His Memorial Mass will be 10:00 AM Saturday morning, July 5, 2025, in the St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church. Final Farewell and Commendation will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, according to Dial-Murray Funeral Home, Moncks Corner, SC. Mr. Mascorro was born October 24, 1968, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, a son of Francisco Mascorro and Evangelina Castillo. He enjoyed all things car related, watching soccer games, cooking (especially grilling), and collecting baseball caps and sports shoes. He was very talented and loved doing home improvement projects. One of Alvaro's characteristics was that he was always smiling and willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. Truly a very generous man. His favorite weekend outings were going to the movies, eating hot wings while enjoying a good beer. He was very family oriented and cherished the time he spent with loved ones. Alvaro was preceded in death by his father Francisco Mascorro and his mother Evangelina Castillo. Surviving is his siblings, Ma Guadalupe Munoz and her husband, Ruben, of Moncks Corner, SC; Rodolfo Mascorro of Guadalajara, Mexico, and Eric Mascorro of Chicago, IL; nieces and nephews, Alejandro, Laura and Camila Munoz Pineda, Cynthia, Jaime, Iker, and Axel Cabrera Munoz, and Eddie Mascorro.
