Alpha McCraw Obituary

Alpha Lamb McCraw HUGER, SC - Alpha Lamb McCraw, 86, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 31, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loved ones. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mt. Pleasant Chapel. Alpha was born on February 21, 1938, to the late Jess and Beulah Henderson Lamb of Rutherfordton, NC. She worked as administrative assistant for Lockwood Greene Engineers and O & I Consultants in Spartanburg, SC, for many years. It was during this time that Alpha raised her family and found her passion for reading, cooking, and going for long walks. Her church and family was her priority and she loved spending time with them. She also enjoyed spending time with her "L.G." girls, going on trips and getting together for monthly gatherings. She was a loving wife, mother, and "Nonnie". Alpha was a beautiful lady inside and out and will live in our hearts forever. Alpha is survived by her loving husband of sixty-six years, Mr. Billy J. McCraw; daughter, Elizabeth (Beth) Ann McCraw; son, William (Bill) Ashley McCraw (Joani); three grandchildren, Will McCraw, Seth McCraw, and Chloe McCraw; as well as her favorite puppy in the world "Maddie Grace"; two brothers, Kenneth L. Lamb (Brenda) and Douglas G. Lamb; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Marjorie L.; and two brothers, Arthur Lamb and Paul Lamb.
