Alma Louise Jones Harper ISLE OF PALMS - Alma Louise Jones Harper, 89, wife of Major Thomas Bailey Harper, Jr., USAF (Ret) of Isle of Palms, SC passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2012. The relatives and friends of Alma Louise Harper are invited to attend her Memorial Service on Saturday, February 25, 2012 in the First United Methodist Church of Isle of Palms at 11:00 am. Burial will be private. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. Mrs. Harper was born on August 30, 1922 in Moncks Corner, South Carolina, daughter of the late Frank Joel Jones, Sr., and Edna Wyndham Jones. She retired from the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control as an Administrator. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Major Thomas B. Harper, Jr., USAF (Ret) of Isle of Palms, SC; sons, Dr. Thomas B. Harper, III and his wife, JoAnna of the Isle of Palms, SC and Dr. Frank E. Harper and his wife, Lynnie of Sullivan's Island, SC; daughter, Lt. Commander Sharon K. Harper, USN (Ret) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; brother, Dr. Nicholas I. Jones of Knoxville, TN; and five grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church, 12 21st Avenue, Isle of Palms, SC 29451 or Hospice of Charleston Foundation, P.O.
