Allen Samuel Way ORANGEBURG, SC - Allen Samuel Way, 74, of Orangeburg, SC, died, Thursday, June 5, 2014, in Columbia, SC. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, June 7, 2014, in the Dukes-Harley Funeral Home Chapel, Orangeburg, SC, with the Reverend Dr. Daniel H. Hank officiating. Entombment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Orangeburg, SC. The family will receive friends at Dukes-Harley Funeral from 1:30 to the hour of service. Casket bearers will be J. Steven Dudash, Leonard D. Way, William H. Howle, Robbie L. Freeman, Jonathan C. Anderegg, and Glen R. Johnson. Allen was born August 12, 1939 in Orangeburg, SC to the late Charles Seignious Way, Sr. and Sally Wise Way. He graduated from Wofford College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. Allen was a retired general contractor. He was a founding member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church of Orangeburg and a member of St. Johns Congaree Episcopal Church of Hopkins. Survivors include his three daughters, Allyson Way Hank (Rev. Dr. Daniel H. Hank), of Columbia, SC, Elizabeth Way Anderegg (Jonathan), of Sullivans Island, SC, and Catherine Way Johnson (Glen), of Spartanburg, SC; a sister, Sally Way Young (Lamar), of Atlanta, GA; a brother, Charles S. Way, Jr. (Mary Ellen), of Mt. Pleasant, SC; grandchildren, Allen Way Hank, Bailey Wise Anderegg, Reid Christine Anderegg, Brady Glen Johnson and Bennette Way Johnson; eight nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
