Allan Baumrind Obituary

On behalf of the Tri-County Chapter Blue Star Mother's of Charleston, SC, we wish to express our sincere condolences in the loss of your loved one. We would like to say thank you to Allan for serving in the United States Coast Guard to keep our country free. May God continue to give you peace and comfort during this time. I am deeply sorry for your loss. Within a very short time we have lost two of my favorite people on earth. Your Dad was a loving and caring man that I enjoyed losing to pool to and always sharing a laugh and a good story with. Derrick and Allan you are together again and I miss you both so much

Victor, we are so sorry to hear of your Dad passing away. Our thoughts & prayers are with you. We couldn't come to the funeral home as Lloyd is sick with pneumonia.

to the family of allan--

from the 1st day when i introduce scarlett to allan, i know that i have a new lifetime friend. when i hear the news of allan's crossing over, i open my memory box to find the many "sursees" that allan gives to me. the gold cross and the blue gemstone ring that once belonged to "aunt---" are forever close to me. i am both sorrowed and rejoicing for the priviledge of knowing allan. please accept my sympathy for the loss of your beloved allan.

Oh, how far back do we go together! High School,you and Allan were my Derrick's God parents, your children's births,lots of ups and downs. However, through the years Allan was always there for Derrick and was very sweet and kind to me, my sister Bette and my Mother. We were family. We will miss him. Now Derrick has been reunited with "Zee God Father". If there is anything I can do for any of you, let me know.

I watched Alan grow up and counted him as a friend all his life. He was such an energetic person, a whiz at "half-rubber" at the beach, and always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. The good die young, they say, Alan will be missed and will be remembered. My condolences to the famiy.

Allan was so generous with his family and friends. His hospitality around his pool at many, many, family reunions will always be remembered. In the twilight of Allan's life, Victor was always there for his Dad. Thank you Victor, for taking the best care possible of your Dad and our cousin. Henry & Helen Hirschman

Allan was my first buddy, my kindergarten pal, and I'm sure my partner in crime. One of my sweetest nephews! I wish you all peace.

Victor, Trae and the rest of the Baumrind family,

Allan will be missed by all that knew him. We will all miss the big pool parties or just shooting a game of one handed pool with him. I personally, already miss the days that Allan, Derrick and I would sit around the table just shootin' the breeze. Allan, I'll miss you "Big Guy".

Allan was always good to me. If my mon or I needed anything when we lived in Charleston, we knew we could call on him. I will miss you, Allan. You were a good person and a loyal family member.
