As a young girl, I remember dining at the Jasmine Porch at Kiawah, and watching in awe as my elegant piano teacher captivated the room with her talent. She was always warm and welcoming, and we remained friends as life took us in different directions. I will treasure her easy laugh, her passion for music, her heart for animals, and mostly her love for her family. She was so proud of her daughter and grandchildren, and would excitedly fill me in on each one´s news whenever we would visit. No doubt that she is making beautiful music with all of heaven´s angels!

We are so saddened by your loss. We both have such fond memories of Alice. Dave truly loved every time they played together. Alice also helped me out when I first taught music to the littles. Our loss is Heaven's gain!

Alice´s light will forever shine! She was a faithful friend that brought joy and pleasure to all who knew her. She was a legend in her own time and not only extremely talented but was gracious and compassionate but sustained an endearing sense of humor that we all adored. Thinking of her daughter Elizabeth and her husband and children.

I'm so sorry to hear of Alice's passing. I was fortunate to play drums for her many times in the late 1970's and 1980's, including some memorable Spoleto Festival performances. She was a fabulous musician and a warm, kind human being. I know she'd struggled with health issues that limited her performing opportunities, but will always treasure the times I had working with her. My sympathies to her family.
