Alice Ray Obituary

Alice Fling Booze Ray JAMES ISLAND - Alice Fling Booze Ray, 90, of James Island, South Carolina, widow of Charlie R. Booze, Jr. and William H. Ray, entered into eternal rest Monday, May 27, 2024. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday June 1, 2024, in Fort Johnson Baptist Church, 1473 Camp Road, at 10:00 am. Interment to immediately follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Alice was born April 10, 1934, in Dillon, South Carolina, daughter of the late William H. Fling and Mary Cook Fling. Alice was a member of Fort Johnson Baptist Church. She retired from AT&T Telephone Company after 30 years where she served as management and an instructor. She is survived by her son, William Scott Booze (Lori); stepson, Dr. W. Steven Ray (Maureen); stepdaughter, Sylvia Ray Ward (John); four grandchildren: Amy Cordray (Philip), Eddie Booze, Hannah Booze, and Rachel Malecky; and three great-grandchildren: Brandon Thomas, Harlee Cordray and Delilah Deleston. The family wishes to thank the wonderful caregivers that have been so supportive this past year. Alice was predeceased by her son, Charles Booze and daughter-in-law; Pam Booze. Memorials may be made to Fort Johnson Baptist Church, 1473 Camp Road, SC 29412 or to a charity of ones choice.
