Alice Mamalakis Psillos DARLINGTON, SC - Alice Mamalakis Psillos passed away on August 24, 2010, after a brief illness. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 27, at the Transfiguration of Our Savior Greek Orthodox Church, 2990 S. Cashua Drive, Florence with interment in Grove Hill Cemetery, Darlington directed by Belk Funeral Home. Trisagion service will be 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 26, at the funeral home, with visitation immediately following. Mrs. Psillos was born in Savannah, GA, on September 1, 1920, and the youngest child of John Emmanuel and Demetra Kremidas Mamalakis. She was the widow of Paul Mitchell Psillos of Darlington and the mother of Barbara Psillos (Arthur) Pappas, Darlington, Michael Psillos of Columbia and George Psillos, deceased. She was the grandmother of Paul (Kim) Pappas of Darlington and Nick A. Pappas of Atlanta, GA. She was a loving great-grandmother of Gregory Pappas and Nicholas P. Pappas and loving aunt to her nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Transfiguration of Our Savior Greek Orthodox Church and a member of the Ladies Philoptochos Society.
