To John, Keith & Family:

Please accept our most sincere sympathies at the passing of your mother. Mrs. Jowers was an important part of our mother's friendship circle, and we therefore got to interact with her often. We will always remember how encouraging she was of everything positive that we did growing up, and our community definitely needs more elders to motivate our youth today. While she will be missed in her physical presence, you can be proud of the impact she had on untold numbers who grew up to be positive and productive adults.

Dear Keith and family,

Please accept my deepest condolences. My heart was saddened when I received the news of Mrs. Alice " Parker" passing. Continue to trust in the Lord, and I pray that He grants you all peace!

To the family of Mrs. Alice P. Jowers, you have our deepest sympathy. My late husband and I were students at W. Gresham Meggett High School during the years Mrs. Jowers served as librarian. During the 1980's my late husband and I along with our children often visited with her in her home. He was one of her former library aides and held her in high esteem - never forgetting her.

May all the wonderful memories and the love of God guide you towards peace as you grieve over the los of your loved one. May God's grace, your prayers, and the support of family and caring friends help to strengthen you during this most difficult time

To the family of Mrs. Alice P. Jowers, on behalf of W. Gresham Meggett High School Class of 1966, we offer our condolences. Our class and our student body at W. Gresham Meggett were enriched for having Mrs. Jowers as our school librarian. She instilled in us a thirst for knowledge through the reading of books. Her devotion for her students was unsurpassed. Whenever you entered the library she was always poised, friendly, and genuinely warm; and always willing to help you find the correct book or periodical to complete your assignment. You have our deepest sympathy. Rest in peace Mrs. Jowers.

John and Keith- We came to know your mom while Troy was helping with the prison ministry, and continued to stay in touch. She was so interesting to listen to- loved to talk about the old days, and her memories of you all as you were growing up! She will be missed. Know that we are praying for the family.

My sincere sympathy along with prayers are heartfelt on the transitioning of Mrs. Jowers. As neighbors on Coming Street, we had the role model of professionalism lived by Mr. And Mrs. Jowers.

I remember Mrs jowers when I was a sophomore at Burke high school in 1975! Rip!

This beautiful,inspiring woman was our Librarian at W.Gresham Meggett High School, but more than that she was a great motivator who challenged us. Thank you for being on the path during my journey. Rest in Peace. May the grace of God be with her family and loved ones now and forever

Mrs Jowers was indeed a woman of integrity,a librarian a true educator, loved books, journals, etc.

I was one of her assistants for all of my high school years at W. Gresham Meggett High School and love every moment of it.

Family I know you will truly miss your mother, grand mother , great grand mother, I too will miss her. I will cherish the memories of Mrs. Jowers. She was truly a woman of God.
