Alice Jervey Obituary

Alice Jervey CHARLESTON - Alice Neyle Henderson Jervey, widow of Arthur Postell Jervey, entered into eternal life on February 22, 2025. Born in Walterboro, S.C. on December 8, 1927, she was the daughter of Alexander Fraser Henderson and Jessie Harrison Henderson. She graduated from Walterboro High School, St. Mary's Junior College, Converse College and Parsons School of Design in New York. She was a member of St. Philip's Church and an associate member of The French Huguenot Church. Alice is survived by her children, Alice Neyle Jervey, Ann Ladson Jervey Tighe (Steven) and Alexander Henderson Jervey, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Alexander Fraser Henderson, Jr. and Campbell Gilchrist Henderson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Philip's Church, The French Huguenot Church, Pet Helpers or The Charleston Animal Society. Funeral services will be private. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Downtown Chapel.
