Alice DeBoarrd Obituary

Alice DeBoard GOOSE CREEK - Alice Margaret DeBoard, 80, of Goose Creek, wife to Homer DeBoard, passed away September 30, 2012. Born in Hearne, TX, she was the daughter of the late S.J. and Iva Griffin. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church. Mrs. DeBoard enjoyed reading, birdwatching, puzzles and talking on the phone. She loved being able to raise her family and spend time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchild. She is survived by her husband, Homer DeBoard, three sons, Roger Howell of Norfolk, VA, Michael Howell of Las Vegas, NV and John DeBoard and wife Pamela of Goose Creek; two daughters, Delilah Register and husband Rodney of Virginia Beach, VA and Faye Swem and husband Roy of Virginia Beach, VA. Mrs. DeBoard is also survived by nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and a great great grandson. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. in Midway Baptist Church, 506 St. James Avenue. The family will receive friends prior to service from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. in the church.
