Just learned of Aice passing from Dot. I knew her more from Aunt Hessie and Mom Helen DeMerchant speaking of her and only met her a few times. She had the DeMerchant heart of a kind person. Just know we are thinking of you at this time. Carolyn DeMerchant Kelley Caribou, Me.

My aunt Alice was the one who kept all the cousins together! Her family reunions were very memorable. If it wasn't for her...we wouldn't have been able to know our wonderful cousins....I miss you aunt alice...a gracious and classy and loving woman

Hello to Bonnie, Butch, Robin, Jeff and Ross,
Your Mom was the angel of our extended family gatherings. I marveled at her gracious and calm spirit in the face of our many children chaos. Always happy to hear of my escapades, she only put her foot down once when I picked up a hitchhiker while traveling to visit her in Florida! I am sorry that you have lost her in your daily lives. Know that her spirit will be held with great love in the hearts of your cousins.

To the children of Alice Barr Bernatowicz I offer my deepest sympathy on the death of your mother. I have many fond memories of spending my summer vacations in Millinocket with Alice and her sisters, Olga and Marion. They would often come to Fort Fairfield and we would go to Canada to visit our DeMerchant cousins. My prayers are with all of you. Dorothy (DeMerchant) Phair
