Freda : I STILL FIND IT HARD THAT YOU ARE GONE, I REALLY AND TRULY MISS YOU MY FRIEND, I REMEMBER SO MANY TIMES WE HAVE LAUGHED ON THEM DANG SCHOOL BUS, WHILE WAITING FOR THE KIDS TO GET OUT.. I REALLY LOVED WORKING WITH YOU, YOU WILL ALWAYS BE IN MY HEART, AND I THINK OF YOU OFTEN. and oh my how i loved when you cooked your Mac&Cheese, Dakota Would Eat Most of it. gosh I wish I could Talk To You And hear Your laugh. We started off as coworkers working for Charleston county as drivers and it blossomed into a beautiful friendship. Their is no one like you in this world. To my friend Freda, just to let you know you were one of a kind! You were fun to be around, you were loved by many and me. We had some good old days at work when were driving those kids on them buses and they never forgot you when i saw them later in years when they remembered me they asked about you. To this day, it is pricless for the memories we share. The calls on Holidays and birthdays you never forgot . That is what you call true friendship. When our friend Joyce called I was really in shock mode. I just could not focus the rest of the day. I will leave you with this thought! Even though we had not been in touch for a minute, it did not change anything. Let me take you back to 1987 when Nikky was born. You brought me clothes to go home from the hospital and it was cold but you brought me no shoes to put on my feet! That was so funny and we laughed and talked about It a long time and that was 27 years ago. We The Crew could not have asked for a better friend because we all knew what a friend you were. You will always be in my heart and the memories will never fade away my friend. In life, you were true , You told it like is and what it was with no hidden agenda and every body loved you for it. Will miss her smiling face. Don't know who will take her place to be the "first" to call me on Christmas morning.

I met Freda on my 1st job, at Savannah Hwy Steak & Eggs, the memories from 1978 till the last time we spoke Will forever be with me, RIP my friend, to the Family, joy really does come in the morning, hold to His hands. God`s comfort, peace and blessings to you all.

To the Simmons and Scott family. It is with great sadness the we send our prayers of comfort to you at such a great loss. Freda has been my friend since high school and I'm finding it hard to believe she is gone. Please know that Freda is with the Lord and we all have a new angel watching over us. We will miss Freda greatly.

As I write this I'm smiling through my tears...this hurts so very much but through all this there were so many good memories in the time we were neighbors on that corner of Russelldale ave that I will never forget.You always kept us laughing and was ready to get them shoes out if somebody jump crazy! Little short self didnt take no mess from nobody honey. You and my mom were really good friends, I know she will miss you so much.Everytime I saw you it was a waiting hug and kind words, never missed a beat to lend a helping hand to our family. We already knew when you entered the room we better get up and hug you and we knew not to play with you or chucky was coming out lol. You always kept a pair of keds in your car you called them your kick tail shoes lol and if you have to go get your shoes it was on.... love you always Auntie gone but never forgotten.
