Alexandra Grant Obituary

I miss her dearly.

Dear Dr. Grant and Joan, my words from my heart cannot express enough for you how I feel for you and your family at this time in the loss of your daughter. I had the wonderful privilege of knowing your daughter from the many times that I worked in your office. Your family continues to remain in my prayers.

My twin sister and I went to TC with Sisi and although we weren't very close with her, we saw how beautiful she was on the inside and out...and that will always be remembered.

I have been hoping that I would think of the right thing to say to help ease some of your pain in this trying time, but I am still at a loss of words. My heart goes out to you.

SiSi will always be a very dear and special person to me. Even though I haven't had the opportunity to speak with SiSi in years, I think about her often. So many memories that I hold from middle and high school involve SiSi. I remember driving around in the Volvo when SiSi first got her licence and laughing hysterically, spending every day of the summer together at the Raquet Club, going on Shaun's family vacation together to Myrtle and laughing the whole way down at SiSi's jokes, the "group" sleepovers, attending brunch with your family every Sunday at the Country Club and dancing around on your roof to the the Phish song "Bouncing Around the Room." I will always remember her for her great sense of humor, beauty, and energy; she will always be in my heart. I feel privlidged to have been part of her life, and if I can ever do anything, please call me. You are all in my prayers. I love you.

My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. It breaks my heart to learn of your loss. Although SiSi and I have not spoken in years, I have fond childhood memories of our time together. She touched many lives and her presence will be missed.

It's been such a long time and I hope you remember me; we worked together at Givenchy from 1978-79. I'm an English teacher at Country Day, and I occasionally see your mom walking through the neighborhood and I think of you. I saw the announcement about Sisi this evening in the Times Picayune, and my heart breaks for you and your family. My daughter Elaine, who is 26, recently lost her young husband to cancer, so I empathize with your loss, though of course, I can't even imagine the grief a parent goes through at the death of a child. Please accept my sincerest sympathies for the loss of your beautiful daughter.

Alexandra was my student at TTC. She always sat in front and I could see the love of learning in her eyes. She made an impact on every class due to her eagerness for knowledge and delightful personality. Alexandra was always the first student to volunteer when another student needed help. After each class she would have a friendly word or a geat insightful humorous comment. She is a student I will never forget because she made me a better teacher. A lot of students just come and go but Alexandra made an imapct, she was very special. I hope you can take comfort in knowing even though I had a limited role in her life as a teacher that I will dearly miss her.

Any day that I could schedule SiSi to work was a good day.

I had the pleasure of getting to knowing SiSi quite well during my college years at C of C. We lived in the same dorms, and she practically lived with me and Jules our sophomore year of school. I actually visited your home in Asheville one weekend some years back with SiSi and Jules and another friend, James, if you remember. We spent a lot of good times together.

I was terribly saddened when I heard the news. SiSi was a wonderful, young, bright, and funny woman. And even though we had not been close for some years, I will never forget SiSi and what a wonderful, unique person she was. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

you were alot of things to me...my neighbor - my co-worker - my roommate (for awhile)- more inportantly my friend... We were just together last weekend, you spent the night, and we had so much fun. You
were so happy, and in such a good place. You were my "A" student and I

I am so blessed to have had Sisi in my life here in Charleston, beginning with her weekend visits to Dominique our 1st year of college. She was so friendly and bright with her dimply smile for everyone to enjoy. She was truly a gift!

We hve been friends of Sisi's family for many years. We live in Asheivlle but we are in Charleston for the bridge run and we were so very sad to hear of Sis's tragic accident.
We have fond memories of Sisi and her tennis career , my husband gave her tennis leasons,and visting our home with our 3 daughters. She had a wonderful sense of humor and my daughter, Christina always looked up to her.
Sisi will be missed!

I enjoyed Sisi's happy and bright personality. She seemed to be smiling all the time. I had the privelige of getting to know her best when she helped Joan and Greg at the office. She is greatly missed, and wonderfully remembered.

I so enjoyed talking with Sisi about Widespread Panic and school and what her plans were. She will be missed greatly.

Precious SiSi you will be so sadly missed by all. Joan and Greg my thoughts and prayers are with you and am so sorry I couldn't make the trip. Sisi is my newest angel and I am sure surrounded by all my angels. God bless you Grant's and you will be in my prayers daily.

Joan & Greg, our son Bryan called us from Summerville this morning to tell us this tragic news that he saw in the paper. We are so very saddened by this tragedy and only wish that we could be at Mass with you this morning. We had just recently seen SiSi in Charleston and had a wonderful but brief "catch-up" chat with her. We were so proud of her successes and her wonderful sense of humor, as always, will always stay with us. What a tremendous and untimely loss! This all really "hit home" with us as you can well imagine. Our love and sympathy to Dominique and the family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
