Alex Moore Obituary

MOORE, Alex

Alex Franklin Buddy Moore, 66, co-owner of Moore's Tax Service in Goose Creek died Friday, April 13, 2007 at a hospital in Charleston, SC. Born November 22, 1940 in Wilson County, NC, he was one of six children of the late Paul Franklin and Bertie Lee (Mercer) Moore. Buddy was a retired construction worker. He and his wife, Melinda Susan Moore, were business partners; they own and operate Moore's Tax Service in Goose Creek. Buddy was a veteran having served in the US Army and the US Army Reserve. He was a Baptist. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Susan; sons: Andy Moore, Candler, NC., Adam Moore and Jaymes Moore, both of Goose Creek, SC; daughters: Beverly Pearson, Pamela Moore, Adrienne Stoner and Susann Cannon, all of Goose Creek, SC; brother James Moore, Wilson, NC; sisters: Mary Davis, and Margaret Moore, both of Wilson, NC, and Paulette Owens, Rocky Mount, NC; mother-in-law Bertha Woodby, Goose Creek, SC; nineteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. His parents, brother, Tommy Moore, son, Alex Franklin Moore, Jr., daughter Kimberly Moore, and great-grandchild, Nigel Bowman preceded him in death. The family will receive friends Sunday, April 15, 2007 from 4:00-6:00PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, 100 S. Goose Creek Blvd., (Hwy 52) Goose Creek, SC. Graveside services with military honors will be held Monday, April 16, 2007 at 2:00PM at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Wilson, NC.
