Alex Chakeris Obituary

Alex John Chakeris GREENVILLE, SC - Alex John Chakeris, 61, of 22 Essex Court, died Wednesday, November 3, 2010, at Greenville Memorial Medical Center. Born in Charleston, he was the son of the late John T. and Antastasia Charonis Chakeris. Mr. Chakeris was employed with Von Hollon Electrical Company and was a member of Hampton Park Baptist Church. Surviving are two brothers, Jim Chakeris of Greenville and Dr. Themy Chakeris and wife, Nena, of Charleston; two sisters, Lythea Gatgounis, PhD and husband, Dr. John, of Charleston and Eva Henry and husband, Albert, of Clemson; and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Hampton Park Baptist Church, 875 State Park Road, Greenville, SC 29609. Visitation will be held Saturday, November 6, 2010, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Hampton Park Baptist Church with the funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. in the church sanctuary.
