Alex Bush Obituary

Alex Bush AIKEN, SC - Funeral Services for Alexander Charles "Alex" Bush, 24, of Huckleberry Drive, Aiken, SC, who entered into rest December 29, 2010, will be conducted Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock from Trinity United Methodist Church. Dr. Rodney K. Powell officiating. Interment in Pineview Memorial Park. Alex was a lifelong resident of Aiken. He was a 2005 graduate of South Aiken High School where he was a regional champion cross country runner. Alex was a University of South Carolina Aiken graduate where he received a Bachelor's Degree in English with a minor in Political Science and was the Editor of the English Newsletter and a member of the National English Honor Society. He was a second year student at the Charleston School of Law. He was a former associate with Henderson Johnson and Whittle Attorneys and a law clerk with a Charleston law firm. An avid swimmer, Alex was a member of the Aiken-Augusta Swim League and the Houndslake Swim Club. He was the grandson of the late Charles P. Ross. Survivors include his mother, Sheryl Bush, Aiken; father, Ed Bush, Aiken; sister, Emily Bush, Aiken; two brothers, Eddie Bush, Charleston and Kevin Bush, Columbia; grandmothers, Joyce Ross, Aiken and Evelyn Bush, Princeton, Indiana; beloved aunts, uncles and cousins. Pallbearers will be Craig Ross, Matthew Yon, Eric Ross, Matthew Ross, Andrew Ross and Brett Lancer. The family will receive friends at Trinity United Methodist Church, 2724 Whiskey Road, Aiken, Monday evening, from 5 until 7. The family will be at the residence of Mrs. Joyce Ross, 108 Englewood Road, Aiken, SC. Memorials may be made to the Alexander Bush Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o USC Aiken Advancement Office, 471 University Parkway, Aiken, SC 29801 with checks made payable to the Aiken Partnership.
