sometimes I called her "Bertha" (instead of "Miss Bertha") and she would laugh and laugh. I liked to tease her and get to hear that laugh

Jeanette, Yvonne , and Family ,I was sorry to hear of the passing of your mother , although we haven't kept in touch ,you guys are still family and have my deepest sympathies.
When your heart is empty, filling it with happy memories can help you through the dark hours. Remember that God is with you and talking with Him will help ease the pain. And even though it may be hard to understand why those we love are taken from us, find comfort in knowing that Aunt Bertha rests in the arms of Jesus.

To the bereave family,
My family and I are deeply sadden and grieve your lost. Ms. Bertha was definitely a foot soldier for Christ and her works did not go unnoticed. Growing up in the neighborhood and in Morris Brown AME Church, I personally witnessed her attibutes, her demeanor and the fruit she beared. She was one to exemplify, an one I appreciated for her motherly love. We feel your lost but never your pain. No more suffering, no more sorrow, she is singing sweet melodies and rejoicing in glory. "Marching to Zion" Ms. Bertha has left a beautiful smile and glow among us and may your soul rest in peace. We love you and will forever cherish your memories.

Ms Green, will be sadly missed, she was the grandmother of my sister Akilah, she kept us well entertained and was a joy to know. Earth has lost a beautiful person, but Heaven has truly gained an Angel. I leave the family with these words, "Earth Has No Sorrow, That Heaven Cannot Heal". To my Sister Akilah, I love you; I leave you with these words, "Every day I am reminded that things of the world are temporary, but things of the Spirit are eternal. The Earth has changed over the eons, but God is unchanging. God is Life, the essence of life in all. God is Love, encompassing all the love that has ever been. Turning within I find the constant, eternal love of God is my constant comfort. No matter what happens in the external world, within my heart is a place of peace, untouched. I close my eyes, take a deep cleansing breath and become aware of this quiet place. No matter where I am or what is happening around me, I am comforted by the One Love that is always here."
"Let your steadfast love become my comfort according to your promise to your servant."--Psalm 119:76

To Yvonne and Family:
My heart was sadden to hear of the passing of your mother. I will never forget, when I met your mother many years ago, when I spent the weekend to your house in order to attend a training for work, she welcome me in home and made me felt like one of her own daughters. It didn't matter when or where we met, the love was there. Just as you and your family have. I thank God for allowing you to be my ex-supervisor (THE BEST EVER) and then my friend. May God keep you all in these times that seem so dificult. Trust God.

Yvonne, Janet, Morneek
You have my deepest sympathy. You all have been so richly blessed with a loving and wonderful mother who led a full and giving life. She was blessed with grace and longevity. I remember when I first met her she was the type of person you just had to call "mom". May you all find comfort and strength during this hour. God Will give you peace in the midst of this storm. You all have each other to lean on during this time and God will help you. I know he is still doing it for me. Hold on to God's unchanging hands. God Bless you all.
