Alberta Hutchinson Awendaw - Ms. Alberta Hutchinson, 79, of Awendaw, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Saturday, October 23, 2021. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. in The Palmetto Memorial Chapel, 1122 Morrison Drive, Charleston, SC 29403. A public viewing will be held on tomorrow from 11:45 am until 12:45 pm at the mortuary. She is survived by her loving siblings, Betty H. Evans (Leslie), Juanita H. Heyward (Joseph), Jeanetta Hutchinson, George Hutchinson, Harold Capers (Lavern), and Lester Capers (Mary); sister-in-law, Vanessa H. Hutchinson; uncle, Joseph Smith; aunt, Helen G. Brown; along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Theodore Hutchinson, and Mrs. Anna Goodwater Hutchinson; sisters: Eilene Hutchinson, and Anna Lee Roman; brothers: Theodore Hutchinson, Jr., and Irvin Brown; uncle, Rev. Henry Smith.
