Alberta Brothers Obituary

Alberta Brothers GREENSBORO, NC - Mrs. Alberta Brothers, the daughter of the late Melvin Wright, Sr. and Eloise Metz Wright was born in Fairfield County, SC. She entered into eternal life on Thursday, December 16, 2021. After moving to Greensboro, NC, she was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Richard Brothers, Jr. God blessed this union with two daughters, Teresa and Camilla. Alberta began her professional career as a secretary at Bluford Elementary School in Greensboro, NC. While living in Greensboro, she was a faithful member of Bethel AME Church. When the Brothers' Family relocated to Charleston, SC, Alberta transferred her membership to Mother Emanuel AME Church. After getting settled in Charleston, she began working as a secretary at Rivers Middle School and continued to serve there until retirement. In 2009, Alberta returned to Greensboro to be closer to her daughters and other family members. She was delighted to rejoin the Bethel AME Church family. Alberta will be remembered as a magnificent mother, caring sister, dedicated employee, and compassionate friend. A funeral service will be given at 1 pm on Wednesday, Dec. 2, at Bethel AME Church, 200 N. Regan St., Greensboro, NC. Online condolences may be made at www.johnsonandsonsinc.com. Dear Teresa and Camilla,
I was so sad to hear of your mother´s passing. She was a special friend and a wonderful lady. Ms Abernathy also sends her love and prayers. You girls did above and beyond in caring for mother and I know she appreciated it.
