I was very sorry to learn of Mr. Alber's passing. He and I worked together in Marion County at USDA. I grew to really appreciate his knowledge and assistance in helping me become more familiar with the county's farming community. And, I thoroughly had pleasure in making farm visits with him in his el camino! I espcially enjoyed conversations with him and his ability to tell jokes that made me laugh uncontrollably. Know that you have my very sincere and heartfelt sympathy.
