To Brenda and Family.
I want to express my thoughts and prayers to you and your extended family for your loss. When I think of Scott now, I remember laughs and what a great (and sometimes odd) sense of humor he had. Before I understood this, we struggled; but once I realized he was messing with me most of the time, I learned to laugh with him, and sometimes at him. I respected him above all else for his directness and his ability to always be himself, never compromising his feelings. I will remember his ability to make me laugh and take the lighter road when things were bearing down. Things like scribbled notes on his hands and arms, pounding sounds on his keyboard, and short but effective comments will always bring a smile! Thank you for sharing him with us.

Dearest Brenda,
Our hearts and prayers are with you
always. Always share your memories
of Scott like you did when we were
all together Sunday, because memories never go away. You have
always been a big part of our lives
growing up and now that you are grown up it hurts to see you hurt.
We are glad for the peace you felt
the last time you were with Scott.
He will always be a part of our
family and we will always think the
world of him because he loved you.
Love and prayers for peace and comfort.

Brenda,
I was saddened very deeply to hear of Scott's passing. I will always cherish the fond memories of our endeavours at work and play. His sense of humor was ideal to help a day gone bad look brighter or get your mind on track from personal problems. He never was a complainer. He was a " Go-Getter ". He made things happen !! His fondness of avation and mechanics was the bond we shared. We both had similar backgrounds in avation & equipment mechanics and enjoyed flying. We had the pleasure to enjoy many pleasurable hours together soaring or as he put it " punching holes in the sky ". My prayers are for your comfort now and for fond memories in the future.

No, I'm not going to say sad things and think about this world without him. I'm going to remember 35 years of laughter, of hugs and favors, of quiet conversations and good dinners. Of friendship and kindness and quirky ways of saying things. And then, Brenda, you and I and all the rest of your friends and loved ones will know that his was a life worth living and usually well done; and we were all lucky to share a bit of it.
Love you, sweetie.

Dearest Cousin Brenda,
Thank God for memories. I remember my visits with you and Scott in Summerville back when I was traveling for work to Charleston a good bit. I was glad Scott let me get to know him much better. Even though I didn't get to visit in person much after that, the depth of our conversation one evening at that Chinese restaurant helped me feel bonded to not only you, but to Scott in a way in which words were no longer necessary. I will remember him fondly. And, remember he is still alive in our hearts. My prayers are for your comfort now, and if you need me in any way, just let me know, and I'll be there in a jiffy.
Love ya ..

Brenda,
I am so sorry to hear about Scott.
Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you. I have really missed Scott since he retired. His sense of humor and his verbal expressions always made us laugh at this place. I can only image the loss you are feeling at this time.
Scott wanted people to think he was just a scrooge, but once you knew Scott; it was easy to see what a caring person he was.
I will never forget the time he got so upset with the salesperson that ruined his Christmas surprise for you. He had taken such pains for the computer to be a Christmas morning surprise. I knew then he was a big Santa at heart.
Scott was always first to suggest, donate, and often reminded me that our department needed to do something for other’s in their time of need.
Brenda, my prayer is that God will ease your pain and soon the wonderful memories of Scott will make you smile again. I will always remember Scott as a true Santa.
Sincere Thoughts are with you,
Betty Beckham
