As former neighbors and gym buddies of Alan´s we will miss him. He was thoughtful and he accomplished much in his life. He was eager to learn new things and was always interesting to talk with. He was still writing new books in his series right up to the end. He leaves behind many good memories. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.

I, like the rest of the neighborhood will miss Alan's sparkling, mischievous smile and I will particularly miss our good-natured banter on the sidewalk. And someone else will miss Alan--that would be our cat Luke. Luke was a regular visitor to Alan's house and he took regular naps in Alan's lap.
