Adrienne's death brings great sadness. She was a good friend to me in a very difficult time. Mercurial, talented and funny, she was a remarkable person. May she find peace.

Adrienne and her family and friends are in my prayers tonight and will remain there in the days ahead. I worked with Adrienne at the paper and was privileged to work with her when she was a page designer for the Food section and I was the food editor. She made those first few months easier when I was still finding my way. Adrienne always had a smile and a kind word and had so many good ideas to share. I hope and believe she has found peace.

Shocked and saddened. Adrienne was a complicated person who endured many hardships, but she was always compassionate and humorous. My condolences to all her family and friends. She won't be forgotten.
