Del and Banks were among the earliest of the single parent families we worked with in 1997 or so. As she healed, she reached out to other single parent families by helping at our weekly meetings and our two day seminars. Her enthusiasm was contagious and a testament to her resiliency and her devotion to parenting Banks. It is such a blessing to us to have been part of watching Him turn into a fine young man who will have contributions of his own. We are blessed to have known her and will miss her greatly!

Of all of the beautiful flowers Adele can now be one for she never saw her beauty to us here on earth...May she forever be remembered for her raw smile, her wicked laugh and how much she loved you by wanting only the best and prettiest for her special friends...Adele we shall forever remember you in every flower.

Adele, you gave me a lovely book of devotions once entitled God Calling. The devotional for April 24th begins this way: "You can never perish, My children, because within you is the Life of Life. The Life that down the ages has kept My servants, in peril, in adversity, in sorrow. Once you are born of the Spirit, that is your Life's breath. You must never doubt, never worry, but step by step, the way to freedom must be trodden. See that you walk it with Me." At that you did.

It is with heart felt sadness that I read about Del's passing. Joe and I send our deepest sympathy to Banks and his grandmother Del.

Del was an inspiration to me in so many ways: in her cheerfulness and trust in God as she exercised with an oxygen tube in her nose; as she underwent all that a double transplant entailed including isolation, loneliness, and depression; in her loving devotion to her son who was her joy and her reason for fighting so hard to be healthy, in her tireless devotion to her church - planting and taking care of flowers, faithfully attending the church services and theology classes; being the reason for the wonderful prayer chain we now have, etc. etc. She was a brave fighter, a devoted mother, a faithful follower of her Lord Jesus, and a loving friend to so many. I can't believe she's gone, but I'm happy for her that her suffering is over, that her fight is over and won, and that she is rejoicing with her Lord. However I am sad to lose her friendship and "sweet fragrance..." I am praying for Banks and Mrs. Grimball who both loved her so well as they adjust to life without their precious one. I will continue to pray that they will receive God's comfort and peace and know His loving presence and guidance.

Adele, I am so glad that Andy and I and Alex had a surprise luncheon for you here shortly after your double transplant at our home! But, as usual the lunch ended up for us because of your presence and love and laughter and joy in the Lord! I especially loved our painting together as Alex's two student class room with you here at our home also! and it is true....You Love Pink and Purple too! Your paintings were as inspiration as yourself. Thanks for being my friend and I miss you already and will some day, "See You At the House" in Heaven!
We will be praying for Banks and your family. God bless you my beautiful friend.

I just met Adele recently through a client of mine. Every time I worked on anything at her house, she was more than accomodating. Each trip required me to be there prior to 8am. Yet each time she rose from bed to let me complete my task. In hindsight I wish I could have been more accomodating to her in her time of need. Please accept my condolences on your loss.

Adele,I will never forget your smile and quick wit. You could make a room laugh in a skinny minute. My thoughts and prayers for the Grimball/Simmons family.
